E.Ji (birth name: Choi Ji-Won (최지원)), was born on November 8, 2000 in South Korea. She was first introduced to the public on August 2, 2021 with the release of her member profile image. She debuted with the group on September 8, 2021 with their first digital single, Got’Ya.
Career[]
2021: Debut[]
E.Ji has been a dancer since she was young, majoring in modern dance. She was prepared to go to college to continue dancing and eventually train professionally. However, she was inspired by the actor Seo Kang-joon promoting a nationwide audition and decided to leave her university dreams behind. E.Ji auditioned to become a K-pop trainee in 2017 and trained under Fantagio Music for 3 and a half years. After realizing Fantagio had no plan to debut a girl group anytime soon, she moved to KM Entertainment and debuted after 6 additional months of training with the original lineup of members (Jackie, Joonie, Chaerin, Sohee, Yeju, and Chowon.)
On August 2, 2021, E.Ji was revealed as the third member of ICHILLIN.[1][2] The group officially debuted on September 8 with their first digital single "Got’Ya".
2023: Acting debut[]
On November 29, it was announced that E.Ji would be making her acting debut. She debuted as a lead role in the KOK TV kdrama Snap and Spark. The drama aired on December 15, 2023.
2024: Debut with TRIPLE IZ[]
On December 23, 2023, it was reported that E.Ji will debut in the project group TRIPLE IZ along with Secret Number's Dita and X:IN's Aria.[3] The group will be managed by ifland Studio Seoul and is expected to debut in April 2024.
